Seth Godin is a man who challenges. This video is of him challenging Google, and encouraging them to continue to excel, but also helping them focus their efforts, by really understanding where Google's success has come from.
It's fascinating to hear what he considers to be the key elements of Google's success. His explanation of "flipping the funnel" (which is basically how to get your users doing your marketing) and answering questions about why Google Earth hasn't become as big as some other initiatives, make for compelling listening. It's a long video, but it inspired me.
One fundamental question is raised, as you consider your own website or application: "What is the problem you are solving?". Seth suggests that without a problem to solve, your success is limited.
