We're in the business of coming up with big ideas. We have a bottom drawer full of ideas waiting for brave clients. Occasionally we share them with the world and to give you a small taste, here's one we (actually one of our designers, Stephanie Kelly) had for a digital garden.

The idea is a digital garden that grows around the physical features of a building. The garden looks beautiful but is generated by code - each night when it grows, it will respond differently - each night is a new show to watch. (See the storyboard above) We also imagine people being able to text in a seed to plant, and watch their own flower grow, over time. The garden itself is (obviously) not real, and yet it would respond to the elements as if it were, in fact real. So, when the wind blows, so too does our digital garden.

This test image (above) shows the impact of projecting into a cityscape, and our tests certainly generated a great deal of interest from passers by. While this (small) idea is not being realised (unless you fancy commissioning your own...) watch this space as we have other, similar, projects in development.

But I have digressed,  that wasn't my inspiration behind this posting - I was inspired by something greater.

You see, we're not the only ones coming up with new ideas - we recently read about this incredible digital cloud proposed for the London Olympics.  It's the brain child of MIT (no surprises there, they're an abundant source of ideas!) and it captured my imagination. It's a HUGE idea. Two 400 ft towers, with interconnected LED filled bubbles and digital content (and viewing platforms amongst it all).

It does take a brave client to say yes to a big idea. Please, please, Mr Lord Mayor of London find your inner brave man - take this idea seriously. It's big, it's bold it's breathtaking. Don't go "safe" and pick something done before, or something cheaper. Be brave, inspire the world, ignite our imaginations.

C'mon - let a big idea win.

PS: if you're feeling brave, contact me - I'd be happy to share some of our other ideas, or we can come up with something new and special just for you...
